Los Angeles / California Angels Uniform History 1961-1996

This team should probably just call itself Angels. Following the move of the NL Dodgers and Giants to the west coast in 1958, MLB expanded to put an AL team in Los Angeles in 1961.

Last season for flannels brings a new look. The HOF Database is wrong here, it shows the road jersey having red with navy trim lettering instead of navy with red trim. Unique one-year cap style.

The "A" changes to uppercase and the jerseys to pullovers. Road script trim changed to navy. NOB gone from road jersey.
